frequently asked questions

How much of my wedding budget should I put towards my flowers?

A good rule of thumb is anywhere between 15-20% of your total budget. However, a big factor in floral pricing comes down to the amount of people you plan on having at your event. More people = more tables = more centerpieces. This is also true for how large your wedding party is! The more people in your wedding party = the more bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages you'll need.

Is there a minimum amount I need to spend to be able to work with you?

For the 2024 season, we require a $5,000 minimum for full service weddings.

Is there a deposit required to save the date?

We require a 20% non-refundable deposit and a signed contract to save your date in our calendar.

Can I make changes after I sign my contract & approve my proposal?

Absolutely! We understand that minds change and so do circumstances. As a part of our process, we schedule a call 3-4 months before your big day to revisit your design and invoice. You are able to make changes to your invoice up to 30 days before your event. At that point, your design is final and your remaining balance must be paid in full.

How far in advance should I book with you?

As early as possible, especially if you have your heart set on working with us. We are currently booking a year out and fall dates fill up fast!

What is the average cost of a Finch & The Sprout wedding?

The average cost of a Finch & The Sprout wedding is anywhere in the $7,000 - $9,000 range, once you factor in service fees and taxes. However, it's important to note that every couple receives a hand-crafted proposal that fits their needs. Not a single invoice or design is the same!

Do you rent out your vases, candles, arches, etc.?

We don't rent anything out to anyone other than our couples. Our contracted clients get full access to our inventory of centerpieces, candles and ceremony decor when planning their event!

How can I prep for a consultation?

Make sure you have as much information in front of you as possible. You will need to have your venue booked and a set date, in order to work with us. It's always great to have the total number of tables you'll have and an estimated guest count. This helps us talk through your centerpiece options. It's also amazing if you can bring any inspiration photos or even a Pinterest board link so we can take a look! Other than that, just yourself! Our consultations typically last an hour long.

How would you describe your style?

This one is tough. As an artist, I'm constantly evolving and learning. But if i had to describe my style right now, I would say... modern romantic. I like to keep things interesting, but will never stray from my garden inspired designs.

Why did you name your business "Finch & The Sprout"?

Finches are often associated with celebration and joy. And a sprout represents a new beginning and growth. Finch & The Sprout = everything a wedding is truly about. It's the start of a new and exciting life chapter together!

Also, I've always wanted to name my business something that reminded me of a good bedtime fairytale.

Do you only provide floral arrangements for weddings?

No! We are available to provide florals for showers, rehearsal dinners, parties, corporate events, weekly hotel or shop arrangements, grand openings, holiday home decor, and more! if You need florals, we got 'em. Send us an inquiry and let's chat!
